We are proud to be able to offer a new Sixth Form provision in North Swindon. New College, as the sponsor for Great Western Academy, has a proven track record of success and their advice, guidance and support will be an important factor in the success of the new school, enabling us to fulfil our ambitions to offer a broad range of A-Level and vocational Level 3 qualifications immediately we open.
We will meet each applicant individually and agree a programme of study which best meets their needs.
A wide range of AS/A Level and vocational Level 3 qualifications across a range of subjects will be taught at Great Western Academy. These will include, subject to demand:

The Academy will have its own Sixth Form with its own subjects on offer and due to our close links with New College, students will have a unique opportunity to attend New College for additional subjects not available at the Academy. The Sixth Form will be timetabled to facilitate this and we will provide transport for students between the Academy and New College.
The curriculum offer of Advanced Level and BTEC subjects means students can opt for a wholly academic or vocational programme, or a blend of both. Level 3 students will be encouraged to continue with English and Maths. Students will have the opportunity to study Enterprise and Entrepreneurship - as part of our commitment to ensuring they have the necessary employability skills and competencies to give them a head start in their chosen careers.
Our A Level and Vocational Offer is available in the attached document Year 12 Subject Options
