Safeguarding
Our approach to safeguarding at GWA

The safeguarding of our students at GWA is of paramount importance to us. From the moment students walk through the gates in the morning we are committed to making sure that our students know how to be safe and how to report any concerns they may have. We teach this not only through our PSHCE and pastoral curriculum but also through the routines and systems we have in place. We work closely with external agencies, including our local PCSO and Swindon Borough Council. All of our staff receive regular safeguarding training throughout the year to ensure our students are safe.
We are keen to support students in any way we can to ensure they are safe, happy and successful. Should you have a safeguarding concern you can:
-
Encourage your child to speak to their tutor or a trusted adult.
-
Email the Designated Safeguarding Lead – Rachel Sparrow - rsparrow@gwacademy.co.uk
