Curriculum
Our current curriculum offer comprises a broad range of over 30 A-Level and Vocational Courses. Our curriculum develops each year as we grow and we aim to provide flexibility to meet the needs of our learners each year. If you are interested in a course that we do not currently offer please let us know as we may be able to accommodate your request.
All students follow an individual programme of study, combining both core Level 3 qualifications and other activities, which is tailored to each student’s prior attainment and career goals. We encourage students to start with four subjects to provide some flexibility in their subjects in Year 12 before settling on three subjects to continue to Year 13. We treat every student as an individual and value the opportunity to discuss your application with you in a 1:1 guidance meeting to ensure you choose the courses that are best suited to you. All our Level 3 courses are timetabled for five 50 minute lessons per week.
Alongside your core curriculum we also provide the opportunity for you to study the Extended Project Qualification, Core Maths or a variety of other courses/opportunities to supplement your learning.
Students who have not achieved a GCSE Grade 4 in English or Maths will also be supported in continuing their study towards their GCSE re-sit.
Our main curriculum is supported with our Successful Lives programme, which includes PSHCE, Careers and Study Skills. Students will work through a series of units with their Tutors and through our ACE-HUB.
We also have three Successful Lives Days per year.
